kitchen design and trends
they're beautiful, functional and a naturalgathering place for a family and for party guests. cheers. today we’re talking about the latesttrends in kitchen islands. i'm here with expert designer travis rotelli. one of the most exciting trends is thedesign of dual islands inside the kitchen. i love this idea, because i always findthat there's never enough countertop space. there's a couple of great productsthat kohler has designed to work very well in a dual island environment. there's a really unique design called a prolific sink.
and the sink itself has multiple tiers that you can rest a cutting board and a colander. so it really helps maximize your food prep, and it keeps everything you're doingabove the kitchen sink, with the water and the faucet right at your fingertips. and i also heard that it was designed by a chef. kohler worked with a couple of chefs to get an idea of, if they coulddesign their perfect kitchen sink, what would it look like?
that makes so much sense. what else do we have? you can put in a bar sink or another prep sink. the trough sink, which we have rightin front of us here, is a beautiful design. it is. it’s so cool looking. if you think about filling it full of iceand chilling some wine, or even hosting a small raw bar, this really helps enhance the entertainmentexperience that you can have. it’s so nice to have that convenienceand functionality at the same time.
i also love the way that the faucets coordinate. that really complements the partnershipbetween kohler and toll brothers. they really top it off with the complementary faucets. so same style, same design, but different sizes. so it still is very cohesive throughout the kitchen space. well thank you so much, travis. i’ll tell you what, it makesme excited about planning my next party.
