italian kitchen design nyc

this was an operating auto body shop. the first time i saw it, there was a car sitting about right where you're sitting. the ceilings were kind of covered in panels, but those are the original ceilings. the windows had grates on them. the brick existed but certainly didn't look like it looks now. it was not a beautiful white building.

so it had, like, these really amazing bones that we've uncovered. i think the beauty of this building is definitely the original elements. we didn't do anything other than refurbish them, and you can see that it's very minimalist here. i mean, there's not a lot going on. there's not a lot of artwork.

we were given kind of a lot to work with. we just came in and enhanced it. we really wanted the building to shine anc for the natural elements to shine.
