kitchen interior design pdf

hey there, this is nico from floorplanner and welcomeback to the basic drawing tutorial. in the previous videos we drew the walls, added doors and windows, a staircase and a garden and also the areasizes and textures of the rooms. now we’ll make this plan more into a home.we’ll create this open kitchen, and add a bit of furniture in the living room.let’s get started with the kitchen. we’ll first add a wall sectionhere, partly dividing the kitchen from the living room.there are actually two ways you can do this. the first way is using the room tool.move your mouse to the first construction

icon to draw a room.click it and the cursor changes into a cross. move your mouse to one of the white dots whereyou want to start the wall. it’s this corner i want to start. and clickfor the first point, for connecting to this wall.if you move your mouse, and keep your mouse horizontallyor vertically aligned to the first point, notice that you only draw one wall insteadof four walls at a time. so you won’t make a complete room, but justone wall, which is attached to the first point. and also reacts with the automatic area calculationthat i discussed in the previous video. now, you can click once more to finish thiswall. voilã !

and if you move over it you see all the whitedots appear, you see the line highlight, and now you can drag it and it will reactkind of the same as dragging other walls. and now we can click this wall to set theheight. we actually want a low wall, more like a banister,so you can look from the kitchen worktop into the living room.there’s an option called ‘edit height’ and here you can change the height and elevationof the wall. we want to make a wall of 1.1 meters high,so i’m just typing 1.1 and i click somewhere else in the canvas toget rid of the menu and it’s set to 1.1.let’s check 3d to see the result.

and indeed we have a low wall.there’s a second way to a separate wall like this.(let’s remove this one) and that’s by using the third icon in theconstruction menu, which is the line tool.there are various types of lines: we have a line type called “single wall”we have a “dimension line” you can draw just normal lines or dotted lines, that’s the third icon. you can draw fences, hedges and pathways.in the advanced tutorials i’m covering the other line types, but now i’m just using the single wall tool. single walls are actually a special type ofwall that we added for exceptional cases.

sometimes you just want to have a wall thatdoesn’t connect with the rest of the wall structure.like a room divider. and in this case it’s also handy to use a single wall.you can start a single wall anywhere, you don’t have to start at one of the whitedots, but in this case i am going to start here.just click once and move your mouse and you see a blue line.then you can click again and you have a wall. and if you release and move your mouse, you will see that a new blue line appears to directly create a second wall.we don’t want this, so we press “escape” to cancel the wall drawing mode, and we can move over this wall with the cursor

and it highlights.now you can drag it. or you can drag the corners but we just want to change the height, soi’m clicking it and you have a small menu with more properties, duplicate and delete. i’m clicking more properties and here there'sa menu showing the same line types that i showed over here.here you can set the thickness and i want to edit the height to 1.1 meters.click somewhere else to get rid of this menu and saveand we can check 3d again, to see that we have the same result.okay, that’s that. now let’s add a kitchen block, over here.you can find the kitchen block in the sidebar.

you can either choose the kitchen category,or, for the same effect type “kitchen” and you will get all this kitchen equipment:kitchen cabinets, a complete block with cabinets and a furnace and a sink.you can find kitchen hoods here, a stove , various types of cookersand separate worktops with cabinets. i’ll keep it easy today, so i’m just goingto drag in a ready-made kitchen into the plan and drop it over here.all right, we finished the kitchen, and let’s set up a coffee corner over here.first i want to add a nice rug: let’s add this one.i’m just dragging it in, and now i want to add some sofas.here’s a nice triple seater in red.

so we click and drag and then use the arrowsto rotate and if you click the “i” you see thatyou get more properties. you can change the colour, or the rotation,or flip it i just want to duplicate it.let’s find a nice coffee table to put in between.i’d like a glass one, so i could type ‘coffee table’, but i can also search for a typicalmaterial then you get all these glass items.click and drag and release, and click to rotate. here’s a little tip: if you have multipleitems you can group them together by holding the “shift” key.so you hold shift, and then click each item

you want to add one-by-oneand if you click on the properties, you see that they’ve become a group.these groups are only temporary so they’ll be lost when you reload the plan.this grouping function can be very handy if you want to rotate a set of objects.the last thing i want to do is add a nice painting.so let me search for “art” and there are numerous paintings.let’s add a nice mondriaan. at this moment it’s facing the wall, soi’m rotating it. oh, by the way, if you want to have a preciseplacement you can use the arrow keys. let’s check 3d, and if you rotate the plan, you will see that the painting is positioned

on the ground.with most of our wall items you have to give them an elevation.so you click the properties and select edit height and give it an elevation of 1.2 m.and now it’s nicely fixed on the wall. okay, we now have a kitchen and a bit of furnishing.so far for part four. in the next video i’ll tell you about severalexport options and how to get a print on scale. subscribe to our channel or come back to ourtutorial page for more videos. thanks for watching, bye!
