kitchen interior design software
designing with homestyler is easy. in thisvideo i'll create a new design and add some basic features. from the dialog box, i caneither go to the gallery to modify an existing shared design, or start from scratch to createmy own. before i start, let's take a quick look at the controls available in the designer.on the far left is the catalog, click the house icon, which contains everything you'llneed for your design. on the lower right side of the header are view related controls, togglebetween 3d and 2d views, the snapshots option tab, change of level in your design, a zoomslider, and the full screen button. at the bottom of the designer you'll find the showdimensions button, which displays all dimensions, the unit type drop-down where you can seteither imperial or metric units, and the scale
bar which associates the units you've selectedwith the design canvas grid. just above the designer are file management controls, includingopen, print, export, design view, save and undo/redo. you can also share your designor click help for additional homestyler questions. from the build tab of the catalog, i'll dragand drop two of the basic room shapes in to the designer. click and drag a room to moveit. to move everything, use the directional control or click and drag on the design canvas.when selected, rooms or objects can be rotated by clicking and dragging the rotate grip.once you've added some rooms, additional items are displayed on the rooms, walls & areasin the catalog. one set can be dropped into rooms. the second set can be dropped ontowalls. wall openings create passages between
rooms. room expansions, add-ons, and curvewalls allow you to create more customized spaces. change a room's dimensions by clickingand dragging. when you resize a wall, the room's interior dimensions are displayed untilyou release the mouse button. at any other time, click the show dimensions button todisplay all dimensions. in addition to dragging walls to resize a room, you can also changethe angles where walls meet by clicking and dragging the grips that are displayed at eachend of a wall segment. although angle measurements are not displayed in homestyler, wall segmentswill snap to 90-degree angles. so if you mistakenly change a corner angle, it's pretty easy tofix. after i've laid out a couple rooms in the designer, i can add another level to mydesign. i can choose to clone an existing
level - either to examine different furnishingswithin the same space, or to create a second floor. under catalog, use the landscape sectionto add various outdoor elements to your design. you can also include trees & plants & furnishyour outdoor area. and that's it. i've created a simple, multi-story, floor plan in justa couple of minutes. in the next video i'll start with the same drawing and add windows, doors, and other furnishings to make my design more realistic.
