kitchen interior design portfolio
we're here at arido at the agm and we're super excited because our student caitlin cohen has received the norma ruth ridley scholarship award. this award is given out to one student from all the schools in ontario offering a bachelor of interior design. today was the day that i was given the scholarship award presented at the annual arido
membership meeting. i was working a lot on that on that project even though it was during school and during beginning of midterms and exams and all that so i worked hard so i was excited that the work paid off. i tend to be a little more shy about the attention so going up there was a little nerve-wracking for me but it was exciting and especially to be
recognized in the industry is great and i think is a great way to put my first steps into the industry and a great way to get forward and start looking for a job. i think it's a good that's a good start. caitlyn is an incredibly strong student she's been academically very some since she started at rcc. she came out of mcgill university with a strong
academic background. she's also very involved in the industry and in arido. she's part of different projects and committees within arido. as well the school and the team that we have at rcc in the bid program supporting our students and helping them with their education and attaining the knowledge that they need to be practitioners.
i absolutely love the program. i try to immerse myself as much as i can in the program, so whether it's doing things at school trying to get involved in committees there or working at idex and interior design volunteering there, i recently did the habitat for humanity community build, so that was really interesting kind of trying to get myself
fully into the industry and seeing what it's all about. i like the idea of being involved and feeling part of this community in this industry so getting involved in as many things as i can i think is a great way at having fun networking potentially finding an internship and a job later on.
